You know what's funny ... my biggest concern on Bass Lake was not strength, having endurance ... no, my biggest concern was my lights. And as luck would have it, my big powerful HID gave out about 5 miles from the end. My helmet light hardly lit anything, and lucky the rest of the way was brightly lit city streets. But yeah, I still felt pretty fresh at the end of the ride. My goal was to finish the double without the feeling that I'm ready to pass out.

I have a hard enough time doing it on a regular bike, and here you are doing it on a fixie.

My friend Mark is completing his triple crown on a trike (recumbent). Now that's hardcore. You on a fixie, Mark on a trike. That's just awesome.

DanteB, what about triple triple (as is 3 x 300m) crown for 2011? Do they even offer 3 tripple in a year?

How did you do on DV? A triple triple....I don't think I'm in.
