 Looking forward to this weekend. Hope to go shooting, maybe with company  , and then to the Big Stampede Bike Swap & Expo at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday.  There are a few photos from earlier years here.

didn't make it to the range last night....going tonight. They open up the 25m range on Thursday nights. Since that's what the upcoming shoot is, well, I can make sure I'm good to go.

WTG, MV!
 If you aren't barfing up a lung, you're doing it wrong.Got much accomplished, including a 5 mi. brisk walk w/the dogs and Mr. RR and a friend (talk about random) partway through. Her Border Terrier wanted nothing to the Schipperkes. They got the message and the butt-sniffing was quick and nearly undetectable. Mr. RR is taking tomorrow off, and my day is booked solid. Color me frustrated.

Morning...Friday! About damned time too!
Well, the stabilizer still hasn't come in They said they were expecting it today....so I may be heading back out there this afternoon. If it does, I'll do some backyard shooting.I did get the sights adjusted for their range (everyone's 25m seems to be just a little different), and also was reminded just how much a little change in form can make a huge difference. I was shooting like crap last night, till I remembered to angle my bowhand so the knuckles are at a 45 degree (or so) angle. Suddenly the groups were back to where they should be.

Same for shooting a pistol, MV. There's a lot to be said for stance, balance, grip, and trigger pull. Even a tiny woman can effectively shoot a .44mag or .50 if she has good form.
RR, hope any extended family of yours back in Joisey is ok.  Heading out soon to take my elderly friend's husband to see his orthopaedist. He hurt his back several weeks ago, which is getting better, but then he fell last week, and has pain in his knee. Someone else took him for follow-up imaging yesterday, so I'm taking him to talk with his specialist today. Hope the injuries aren't devastating (he is walking for the first time ever, at 91, with a walker), and that he'll soon be going back to the gym and hitting the treadmill three times a week as he was doing back in July (prior to his wife's surgery). Oh, mornin', all!

TGIF!
Looks like I'll be making PP next week. Wedding and team party Saturday, showing houses Sunday. No time to cook -- of course, I'll have time to eat.  I love the smell of wet eucalyptus -- and it's still smelling wet -- really smells like fall today.

Thanks, VV, sister in NJ is fine -- lost power, 2 days of work, but otherwise unscathed. Haven't heard from my other sibs (sis in W. Mass., bro in FL) but imagine they're unaffected.

In Clearwater Beach, FL for the ALS benefit ride tomorrow...63mi. I haven't ridden my bike in 2.5weeks...
